Travelling Through Britain

Travelling is very popular. People want to see the most beautiful sights of world famous metropolis or historical monuments in some countries. Some people travel abroad for education and to get a new point of view on the way of life.

Some students from our school travelled to Britain last year. They lived with native families. They travelled through Britain and saw London´s historical monuments. They were in the Tower Bridge, with the museum of the bridge machine, and in the Tower. The Tower is consists of a lot of parts, the most famous of which is the Jewel House, which is the home of the Crown Jewels. They saw the Buckingham Palace with the famous tradition of the changing of the guards and they visited Trafalgar Square, where the commemoration of Admiral Horatio Nelson is located. They were not only in London, but they also travelled through all Britain and so they saw the famous stone circle in Stonehenge, the ancient spa in Bath, and the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford upon Avon. I don´t want to travel to Britain, because I like travelling only in the Czech Republic. In our country, there are a lot of interesting places and I like recognizing them on a bike or by walking. The students who came back were surprised at seeing that the British people are so much more polite than our people.
